Atul Shah founded Access Architects in Mumbai in 1981, growing it from a 40 sq. ft. practice into one of the city's most established architectural firms over four decades. Under his leadership the firm became the first team of architects in India to complete a fully BIM-based project, and he has since been recognized as a voice on the future of construction and digital technology in Indian building practice, including addressing industry gatherings such as MHADA's Engineers' Day. Today he continues as a Non-Executive Partner at AXS Design and Director at Access Architects, alongside his son Jay Shah and nephew Anuj Shah.
