Stairway to Heaven

This project is a prototype for a new TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) centered brand. This first property is located in the western mountains of Sichuan. It is affectionately nicknamed the Stairway to Heaven.

A very beautiful setting in a gorge and also a very difficult site. Extreme slope and geo-technical conditions created a real challenge to the team. The main Food and Beverage outlets and KTV are located at the top of the slope with magnificent views. Beautiful setting for morning Taichi. The 2 stories guest wings step down toward the arrival lobby and other public functions. A system of cable cars link all the functions together. The arrival building is in fact a bridge over the existing road, with the drop-off area overlooking the river.

For this project, the TCM center is located minutes away but is stylistically consistent with the main development. It is 8,000 m2 clinic and provides all the usual TCM treatment. Acupuncture, herbal therapy, moxibustion and GuaSha. It also offers mainstream treatments such as physical therapy and yoga.
