Centara Grand Koh Lanta

The Garuda bird, known in Thai as Kruth, forms the central inspiration for the design of Centara Grand Koh Lanta. Drawn from the mythical bird of Southeast Asian folklore, its powerful wings are translated into the distinctive roof form of the main lobby, creating an immediate visual identity for the resort. The architecture uses this gesture not simply as a decorative element, but as a recurring design language that shapes the guest experience from arrival through to the resort’s public and private spaces.

The wing-like roof profile creates a dramatic yet welcoming entrance, framing views towards the sea and allowing the lobby to function as a shaded, open-air gathering space. This architectural expression is continued through carved details, structural elements, screens and interior finishes, giving the resort a cohesive character rooted in local cultural references.

Set within a tropical coastal landscape, the resort combines accommodation, dining, wellness and leisure facilities into a layered hospitality environment.
