Yann Leroy is Design Director of AXS and leads its architectural design authorship.

With more than three decades of international experience across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, his work spans hospitality, residential, mixed-use, commercial and master-planning projects. At AXS, Yann works closely with teams in India, remaining involved beyond concept design as structure, services, regulation, materials and project economics shape the final building.

Born in the Congo and educated in Paris and Tokyo, Yann received a Bachelor’s degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Art from Paris University IV, and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He began his career in the United States, establishing an international reputation through award-winning projects and competitions. His approach combines classical European architectural training with contemporary forms and a deep sensitivity to the culture and context of each project.

Over the course of his career, Yann has delivered the design of more than 20,000 hotel rooms, including the Bangkok St. Regis, Yalong Bay St. Regis, Pattaya Grand Mirage, Bangkok Centara Grand at Central World, Sofitel New York and Sofitel Philadelphia.
